That's how I felt when I visited the exhibition of Comme des Garcons’s Spring-Summer 2012 collection called White Drama.
The combination of experimental designs in white which has created the Japanese designer this season with the delicate and original installation designed by Rei Kawakubo is simply AMAZING. But seriously, in 3D it’s really mind-bending!
For art and experimental fashion lovers it’s a must. The amazing pieces Commes des Garcons has designed are the result of using different fabrics in white, sometimes with details in gray and yellow, to create clothes with obi belts as loops, layers, maxi sleeves and extravagant headdresses (including hoods), all characterized by the oriental and “rococó” style whose theme is life and its stages. Difficult to define, easy to enjoy!
Added to that, the Kawakubo’s ingenious idea of putting the collection White Drama in clear plastic bubbles, the only barrier between viewer and designs, gives to the exhibition a magical, special and surprisingly sense that also increase the 3D effect in i3Dsteroid view with TOYin3D.
Inspiration at its best!
You have enough time because the collection will spring until October in Cité de la Mode et du Design in Paris. I encourage you to go and don’t forget your Smartphone for the occasion!
